Making a financial contribution to Sunflower CASA Project, Inc. will help us ensure every abused and neglected child in our community has a CASA to advocate for his or her best interests. Our program served 137 abused and neglected children in 2014, and each of these children was able to receive quality advocacy and support through their volunteer CASA advocate. Our program operates with four staff members who are responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of CASA volunteers. In 2014, CASA had 78 volunteers and served many of the children entering the court system. We believe every child in the system deserves a volunteer to advocate for their best interests, particularly so that each child can find a safe, permanent home where they can thrive. To reach this goal, we must continue to recruit and train more advocates to meet the ever-increasing number of children entering the court system each year. This is not possible without financial support for our staff.
On behalf of theSunflower CASA Project, Inc. and the children of Riley, Clay, and Pottawatomie Counties whom we serve, thank you very much for your support.
